Muppuram kavu

Muppuram Kavu Sree Dharma Sasta Temple is situated at South-West Corner of Kollemcode Vattavila Sree Bhadrakali temple. This temple is known with so many historical peculiarities and is quite old as well. It is believed that the idol of this temple has been come into existence because of Sree Parashuraman. 


Sree Dharma Sasta, Ayyappa is the Idol of this temple. Sree Mahadev and Sree Ganapathi are the other idols being worshipped in this temple. Cobra and Demon worships are also being performed here. This Kavu is beautifully crowded with so many rare shrubby and herbaceous trees and present a surprisingly wondrous sight to the eye.

Scientists and Researchers from Vellayani Agricultural University, Trivandrum have conducted research study on these unusual species of trees. This temple was being disgusted for long time; however, it has recently been revitalized with the help of kollemcode people. Devotees, who are visiting Kollemcode Sree Bhadrakali Temple also visit Muppuram Kavu Sree Dharma Sasta Temple for blessings of Sree Ayyappan.
